Samadhi Rush Episode 160// Treasuring the Body– A Restorative Yoga Practice

treasuring the body// a restorative, myofascial release practice

Sweetest-hearts,

What a blessing to be together here. Thank you.

This practice responds to the heat and activity of Summer (where we find ourselves here in the Northern Hemisphere), though it is appropriate for any time of abundance. Abundant temperature, abundant activity, abundant … stress even. Times of too much even when it’s a good thing, can overwhelm the nervous system. This is a tonic, a balm of remembering how treasuring our jewels reminds us of their preciousness. In this case, the body. Honor, love, revere, treasure.

So happy you are here.

A Hundred Objects Close By

I know a cure for sadness:

Let your hands touch something that

makes your eyes

smile.

I bet there are a hundred objects close by

that can do that.

Look at

beauty’s gift to us-

her power so great she enlivens

the earth, the sky, our

soul.
